Sunburst Counseling & Consulting was founded on the belief that every individual has the potential for healing and connection. Through life experiences, we can become disconnected from ourselves, which impacts our mental health, behaviors, and relationships. When we are given the opportunity to reconnect with ourselves in a safe and compassionate environment, we can regain access to that powerful potential.
A sunburst occurs when the sun is able to break through the clouds. I believe this perfectly represents the hope that is available to anyone who is ready to break through the cloudiness caused by trauma, anxiety, insecure attachment, relational conflict, or any other life experience.

About Me:
I am a native of Rome, GA, and I am happy to provide therapeutic care to individuals in my hometown and throughout the state of Georgia. Following the completion of my undergraduate degree in psychology at Shorter University, I obtained my graduate degree in professional counseling from Liberty University. My experience has included work in both private practice and collegiate mental health settings. I have more than 6 years of experience helping adult women struggling with trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, insecure attachment, relational conflict, life transition, grief and loss, and so much more.
From my own experience, I understand the transformative power of counseling and the importance of having a safe space to process difficult issues. I am passionate about creating that supportive environment for my clients, so they can reconnect with themselves and experience the life they desire.
My Approach:
My approach to counseling is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. We will work together to create a therapeutic plan unique to you and your goals. I integrate various theoretical frameworks and modalities to best serve each client’s personalized needs. My approach has a strong foundation in the compassionate tenets of person-centered therapy, with heavy influence from narrative, polyvagal, attachment-based, and somatic therapies. I believe knowledge is power, so I integrate a lot of education into my work with clients.
